Dr. Pavlos Pavlakis is a highly experienced consultant urologist specializing in robotic and minimally invasive surgery for prostate and bladder diseases. With over 15 years of experience in urological surgery, he has developed advanced expertise in robotic radical prostatectomy, including the Retzius-sparing approach, as well as robotic radical cystectomy and the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with Aquablation .

Dr. Pavlakis currently practices at Southend University Hospital, where he leads clinical research, performs complex robotic procedures, and trains junior urologists in robotic surgery. In 2021, he started as the first surgeon to introduce robotic cystectomy at Southend Hospital, establishing a successful robotic cystectomy program that continues to expand.

Throughout his career, Dr. Pavlakis has worked in leading hospitals across several countries, including within the UK National Health Service (NHS), performing a high volume of radical prostatectomies and radical cystectomies with urinary diversion.
